Hi there! My name is Kisira Hill.
I am a cultural and biological anthropologist, graphic designer, hospitality creator, and local Chicago Gemini.
I moved from the west coast to Chicago in 2016 and discovered my love for event curation in the food and beverage industry. I gained knowledge in graphic design, illustration, brand design, social media, campaign, and content strategies through hosting, participating in, and producing events and creative content. Like many industries, I was also prompted to adapt. Over the past three years, I have expanded my creativity beyond event curation and established my graphic design company, Kisira Hill Designs,
I have had the privilege of working with various established brands, emerging businesses, and individual creatives since the inception of Kisira Hill Designs. Some of my clients include J.P. Wiser's, Wade Cellars, Campari Group, Lush Life Productions, Brown and Balanced, No Small Plans, Focus on Health, and other creatives in the hospitality and beverage industry. My focus is on designing graphic projects that are inclusive and visually captivating. These projects include visual spreads, informational pamphlets, calendars, and various promotional digital content. By working with more prominent brands with larger budgets, I can offer branding, logo design, social media management, campaign launch, and promotional content services to small businesses, nonprofits, and local community organizations on a sliding scale.
Freelance design work has allowed me to wear many hats; I have put all of these hats to great use in co-founding a multimedia platform, SPILL, with my business partner David Mor. We collectively host Anthropological [podcast], curate and design our tri-annual print Guest Check, which is available for purchase digitally or print in hand, along with hosting HUSLTES, our small-business database, and traveling event series.
More than ever, intentional branding, graphic design, and social media content creation services must be widely accessible to all businesses in an era where digital media is expanding. As a creator, I aim to bring creative digital content to brands and companies, making efforts to center intersectionality, advocacy, and visual representation to marginalized peoples and community work in their projects.
